Truffle hunting with dogs
A company event around truffles: leave three hours for the hunt
To include truffle hunting in a company event, leave three hours at the grove and arrange meetings, lunch and travel separately. In Suze-la-Rousse, the House provides the workshop confirmed in the quotation, including watching the dogs search and a tasting.

First, fix the three-hour block
The dog does not adjust its search to the end of your meeting. Arriving late and cutting time in the grove to preserve the tasting changes the workshop. Keep the full three hours and set the departure from your meeting venue accordingly. Check travel time using directions shared after confirmation, without publishing the grove’s precise meeting point.
The proposed 2026–2027 calendar sessions run from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm, subject to advance confirmation. They provide a concrete starting point for a company day. Ask for a private quotation if your group needs an exclusive slot or different timing. The calendar confirms neither exclusivity nor places for your team.
A sample day without adding services to our offer
This is a template to adapt, not a package for sale: a morning meeting at your separately booked venue, lunch arranged by you, a transfer allowing time to arrive, then a confirmed hunt from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. La Truffe française supplies no meeting room, lunch or transport. Each provider confirms its schedule and terms; the House’s quotation covers the workshop.
If lunch is lengthy or far away, adjust the morning instead of relying on a shortened hunt. Confirm coach drop-off and parking where needed. The public locality is Suze-la-Rousse; the precise meeting point is shared individually after confirmation. Do not circulate an approximate map point to replace those directions.
What happens between arrival and tasting
The programme brings together welcome in the grove, the dogs’ search, explanations about truffles and a tasting. In winter, participants watch how a dog indicates an area and how the grower responds if a truffle is located. Prepare a few questions useful to your team: assessing maturity, retaining aroma after buying, or selecting a quantity for cooking.
The private report from 16 December 2025 with Pascale and Lala shows the search on site. It documents a visit, not a result reproducible at every company event. Neither number nor weight of finds is guaranteed. For late-season sessions, particularly March, the programme must be confirmed according to maturity and actual conditions.
Details to settle before circulating the programme
Maximum attendance is 40 people including children. Provide the preferred language and mobility requirements, without medical records or a name list for the first quotation. The workshop language and access arrangements need confirmation. Tasting contents are also specified before booking: raise dietary questions at this stage.
Domaine Les Hermessaines wine tasting can be arranged with an alcohol-free alternative. Wine and bottle sales are for adults. Bottle or truffle purchases remain optional, separate from the event price and subject to the terms on the group page. Make this clear in the programme if you mention the option of taking a purchase home.
The individual reference price is €99 including tax; the discounted group price appears in the quotation. In rain, the visit is cancelled under the terms provided before booking. Review the quotation against the day’s schedule and await the House’s confirmation after agreement. You can then send participants the agreed programme, suitable clothing instructions and your organiser’s contact.
